My Matrescence Coaching Agreement & Terms
1. Coaching Services & Scope
Coaching is a collaborative, client-led process designed to support insight, growth, and forward movement. Coaching focuses on the present and future, helping clients clarify goals, values, and choices.
Coaching is not therapy, counseling, mental health treatment, medical care, or crisis intervention. Coaching does not diagnose or treat mental health or medical conditions.
Matrescence coaching may involve exploration of identity shifts, emotional experiences, relationships, and life transitions related to motherhood or the consideration of motherhood. While conversations may feel deeply personal, coaching remains future-focused and does not replace licensed medical or mental health care.
2. Client Responsibility
The Client acknowledges full responsibility for their physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, decisions, and actions.
Results depend on the Client’s own engagement, reflection, and choices.
3. Scope & Referrals
If at any point additional therapeutic, medical, or psychological support would be beneficial, the Coach may recommend seeking care from a qualified professional.
Coaching may continue alongside therapy or other professional support with the Client’s consent.
4. Confidentiality
All coaching conversations are confidential and will not be shared without the Client’s consent, except where disclosure is required by law (including risk of harm to self or others).
Coaching conversations are not legally privileged in the same way as therapy.
Client information and session notes are stored securely and used solely for the purpose of providing coaching services.
5. Fees & Payment
All sessions and containers must be paid in full prior to scheduling unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
Founding rates are temporary and may increase as the practice grows. Alumni rates and eligibility windows will be outlined at the time of purchase.
Payment confirms the Client’s commitment to the coaching space and reserves a dedicated session or container spot.
Refund Policy
Payment secures your reserved session or container space.
For containers: If after the first session either party determines the container is not the right fit, the remaining balance will be refunded minus the cost of the first session.
After the first session, containers are non-refundable.
Single sessions (First Exhale) are non-refundable once completed.
6. Scheduling, Containers & Cancellations
Sessions are reserved intentionally and held specifically for each Client.
If cancellation or rescheduling is necessary, at least 24 hours’ notice must be provided using the link in the confirmation email.
Late Arrival
Sessions begin and end at the scheduled time. If you arrive late, the session will still conclude at the originally scheduled end time and cannot be extended.
If you are more than 15 minutes late without communication, the session will be considered missed.
Grace Reschedule & Cancellations
One grace reschedule is offered per purchased offering (single session or container) for unexpected circumstances. This allows one session to be rescheduled with less than 24 hours’ notice.
Additional cancellations made with less than 24 hours’ notice, missed sessions, or no-shows will be considered used sessions and are non-refundable.
This policy exists to support spacious, grounded, and respectful work for both parties.
Structured Containers
• 4-session containers must be completed within 8 weeks.
• 6-session containers must be completed within 12 weeks.
Sessions not used within this timeframe may expire unless otherwise agreed upon in writing. Extensions may be granted at the discretion of My Matrescence.
7. Alumni Sessions
Alumni sessions are available to past container clients. Founding alumni rates are valid for 6 months following container completion unless otherwise stated at the time of purchase.
8. Communication Boundaries
Between-session communication is limited to scheduling or logistical matters unless otherwise agreed upon in writing.
9. Administrative & Marketing Communications
The Client agrees to receive administrative and service-related communications necessary for scheduling, payment processing, and delivery of coaching services.
Marketing or newsletter communications (including blog posts, reflections, or offerings) are sent only to individuals who have separately opted in to receive them. Clients may unsubscribe from marketing communications at any time.
10. Limitation of Liability
All decisions, actions, and results remain the sole responsibility of the Client. The Coach shall not be liable for any direct or indirect outcomes arising from coaching services.
11. Governing Law
This Agreement shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of the State of New York.
12. Entire Agreement
This Agreement constitutes the entire understanding between the parties and may be updated from time to time. Continued use of services constitutes acceptance of any updates.
